When your father is alive, observe his will. When your father is dead observe his former actions.

In some countries, such as the Dwarven Freehold, and the All-Kingdom, ancestor worship is alive and well. Other scattered pockets elsewhere have rejected the servants of the Guardian and still practice these ways.
