Class Features

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Wardens are proficient with all simple weapons and light armor.

Spells: A warden casts divine spells (the same type of spells available to clerics), which are drawn from the druid spell list. She can cast any spell she knows without preparing it ahead of time the way a cleric must.

To cast a spell, a warden must have a Wisdom score of 10 + the spell’s level (Wis 10 for 0-level spells, Wis 11 for 1st-level spells, and so forth). The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against a warden’s spell is 10 + the spell’s level + the warden’s Wisdom modifier.

Like other spellcasters, a warden can cast only a certain number of spells of each spell level per day. Her base daily spell allotment is given on table above. In addition, she receives bonus spells for a high Wisdom.

Unlike a cleric, a warden’s selection of spells is limited. A warden begins play knowing three 0-level spells. At each new warden level, she gains one or more new spells, as indicated on table above. (Unlike spells per day, her Wisdom score does not affect the number of spells a warden knows.)

Unlike a cleric, a warden need not prepare her spells in advance. She can cast any spell she knows at any time, assuming she has not yet used up her spells per day for that spell level.

A warden’s caster level is equivalent to one-half her class level (minimum 1).

They can cast known cantrips at will, thought cantrips which heal a target (e.g. cure minor wound) can only be cast on the same target once an hour.

Animal Companion: As the druid ability.

Retrain Spell: Wardens can retrain a known spell with a week of meditation and study. The spell must be in their spellbook, and they must spend at least 8 hours each day studying the spell they want to learn. At the end of the week the they replace a known spell with the new spell.

Scribe Scroll: At the 1st level, you gain Scribe Scroll as a bonus feat.

Spellbook: Wardens can add druid spells to their spellbooks like wizards. Their spellbooks start empty and are used to retrain known spells.

Bonus Feat At 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th level, a warden gains a bonus feat.
