The tribes that make up the Remnant once ruled the whole of the Northlands before the coming of the Dominion. As it is, they slowly lose territory year after year, with many Remnant fleeing into the Hard Lands. The Remnant has good relations with the Shogunate traders that land on the shores of the Western Sea and use this to buy weapons to fight the Dominion.
